Lille guided tours proposed by Anne Duquesne

Museums
Roubaix," La Piscine" Museum

The “La Piscine” Museum is an arts museum housed in a former indoor art-déco swimming pool. First built in the early 1930s, closed in 1986, it reopened in 2001 as a museum. This fascinating museum is one of the top 10 destinations in the North of France ! I will show you the magnificent collection of paintings, sculptures and textiles linked with Roubaix industrial textile heritage. There are interesting temporary exhibitions staged throughout the year. It will be a real pleasure to guide you in the pool where I learnt to swim.

Lille, Fine Arts Museum

Lille Fine Arts Museum, one of the largest art museums in France, is dedicated to antiquities, Renaissance, fine arts, modern arts… It offers extremely interesting works of fine paintings ( Van Dyck, Jordaens, Goya, El Greco, David, Corot, Delacroix, Rubens…), a wonderful selection of 19th c. life-size sculptures, exceptional 17th and 18th c. ceramics and religious arts…

Louvre Lens Museum

Louvre Lens Museum (annex to the Louvre Museum in Paris), inaugurated in December 2012, built on an old coalery, surprises us with its modern Japanese-influenced architecture. Inside the museum, we discover an innovative concept design: the” Time Gallery” (Galerie du Temps) sweeps us from Mesopotamia to art works dated 1830, in one single visit. A top direction during your trip in the North of France !

Tourcoing, MUba Museum

The MUba houses a large collection of paintings by Eugene Leroy. I bring you a few keys to enter the world of this unclassifiable artist of the twentieth century. The MUba has beautiful temporary exhibitions that I enjoy showing.
