If you have time before or after discovering the Museum ” La Piscine”, I will show you by bus or on foot the Town Center of Roubaix: the Town Hall, Saint Martin Church, some former textile industrial sites, 19th century mansions… Try to plan a one-hour city tour in addition to the wonderful “La Piscine” Museum visit. Another wonderful combination: “La villa Cavrois” with the Chapel “Sainte Thérèse” (1958) which is THE place for modern architecture adepts. Hermann Baur, the architect commissionned by Mr and Mrs Leclercq,and a college of artists: Alfred Manessier, Jean Roulland, Georges Rouault, Jacques and Bilou Plasse Le Caisne, Eugène Dodeigne…The fascinating light of the coloured glass bricks will leave no one unmoved. So much to share with you, a one hour visit !

Bouvines, its church with the stained glass windows, the village and the River Marque banks
Bouvines, town situated South-east of Lille, famous for the Battle of Bouvines, 27th of July 1214. The Following year, 1215, King John sealed the Magna Carta. After the historical visit, we can enjoy the countryside and walk to the River Marque banks!
